2016 Christmas Cards

Each year since 2007 I have made my own Christmas cards to send out to friends and family. It’s become one of my favorite traditions. In 2014, I invited Cory Sheldon to collaborate with me. This is our third card together. We designed our 2016 card right after we returned from our trip to Iceland, Finland and Estonia in early December. We based the illustration on our trip to see a traditional Christmas market we visited in Tallinn, Estonia.

“From Santa’s part of the globe, we wish you a Christmas filled with love and merriment. We were lucky enough to experience both steam baths and the northern lights from the cold volcanic plains of Iceland, a land filled with wool, wind and wonder. We looped around the granite hills of Helsinki, riding tiny trams, drinking coffee and feasting at the Fazer chocolate factory of confectionary delights. Finally, Estonia gave us Tallin, an ancient city filled with spiced Glögi, smoked braids of cheese and a traditional European Christmas market overseen by none other than Santa himself. It was pretty magical; almost as magical as you!”

Hyvää Joulua!

Cory wrote the words and we collaborated on the illustration.

May your days be Merry and Bright!
